Afghan Advantage (AA+) is a 501 (c)(3) organization in Washington State—among the top 4 states for resettling Afghan families.
Our team has firsthand experience living through the challenges of starting over and learning to thrive in a new country. AA+ evolved from connections forged between Afghan families and volunteers with the WholeHeart Refugee Alliance during the initial resettlement process. We became treasured friends and colleagues, navigating the challenges of the pandemic together and welcoming our evacuated allies when the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan in 2021.
Today, Afghan Advantage (AA+) focuses on the needs of Afghan families with particular emphasis on women who have not had access to education or opportunities for growth and autonomy.
Current AA+ programs include:
Literacy and Communication
